Know Your Needs First
Before discussing specs, ask three questions: daily UV? Application type (static site/dynamic/DB/e-commerce/mini program)? Budget range?

Configuration Reference
Entry level (blog/small display): 1-2 cores, 1-2G RAM, 40G SSD, 1-2M bandwidth. 300-800 RMB/year. Under 500 daily PV.
SME level (corporate site/small e-commerce): 2-4 cores, 4-8G RAM, 50-100G SSD, 3-5M bandwidth. 1,500-4,000 RMB/year. 500-5,000 daily PV.
Mid-large (e-commerce/high-concurrency): 4-8 cores, 8-16G RAM, 100-200G SSD, 5-10M bandwidth. 4,000-10,000 RMB/year. 5,000-50,000 daily PV.
CPU Selection
Compute-intensive apps need more cores. IO-intensive apps need more memory/disk IO. For most 益阳 Web apps: 2 cores minimum, 4 sufficient, 8+ only with clear bottleneck.
Memory Selection
Memory shortage is #1 performance killer. When RAM exhausted, system uses swap (100x slower). Java Web app (Spring Boot + MySQL + Redis): 4G minimum. With Elasticsearch/MQ: 8G minimum. WordPress: 2-4G usually enough.
